The First Cohort
What happens between an invitation and your first reviewed contribution: application, orientation, membership and work, at the pace shown in your account.

A Few People at a Time
An invited member opens the dashboard with a skill to contribute and time she can realistically set aside. Her first steps are to complete her profile, understand the organization and follow the review shown in her account. The first cohort begins coming in on November 1, 2026, by invitation, a few people at a time.
An invitation opens the application process. It doesn't mean an application is approved, a credential has been issued or a task is waiting. Those are separate steps with separate states. The dashboard is where you check what has happened and what still needs attention.
Put Your Actual Availability on the Record
Your profile brings together location, skills, equipment, work preferences and participation interests. Availability belongs beside those details. The useful answer is the time you can actually make available, so the conversation about work starts from your circumstances.
Completing a profile, waiting for review, finishing learning steps and finding suitable work each take their own time. Your account shows the next step; an invitation date is not a promise about when all of them will be complete.
Follow the Steps Shown for Your Account
The application and orientation process is specific to your account. A video or call is not a universal requirement. Read the introduction and current agreements, then complete the learning or checks the app actually assigns.
Complete the Application
Use the invitation instructions, complete the required profile fields and check the current terms before submitting. Save the information the review team needs to understand your application.
Read the Review Status
Pending means review is still in progress. If changes are requested, update the identified information. Approved means the application review has passed; complete any remaining steps shown for your account.
Confirm Membership
Complete any remaining account steps and wait for the app to confirm that the membership credential has been issued. Finishing a lesson alone does not issue it.
Know What Your Credential Says
Membership begins at Seeker when the credential is issued. Rank describes organization-wide responsibility. Standing is a separate condition that affects access and participation. Seeing a rank does not establish that every feature, task or decision is available to your account.
Skills and guild merit describe another part of the picture: what you know and can demonstrate in a particular practice. A skilled builder can be new to membership. Progression depends on evidence and review; joining the first cohort does not set an automatic promotion date. The Membership page explains these distinctions and the account setup in more detail.

Membership

Once membership and access are confirmed, look at the work your account is eligible to claim. Read the deliverables, evidence requirements, deadline, reward and approval terms before accepting a task. A title alone doesn't tell you whether the scope fits your skills or available time.
No first assignment is guaranteed by onboarding. A working group or mentor can help when one is available for your cohort. Guilds connect people around trades, technical work and operations; working groups organize tasks around a project. Finding the right work depends on what is available as well as what you can do.

Find Tasks

A completed task needs evidence that a reviewer can check against the agreed scope. Submission records what you have sent. Review determines whether the result and evidence are accepted. If changes are needed, the record should make those changes clear rather than treating submission as the finish.
Accepted work is still separate from confirmed credit. Credit also requires an eligible member in current good standing, an authorized funded project release and confirmation. Pending stays pending until those requirements are met. It isn't pay and it isn't a share of a building. It can't be bought or sold.
A Beginning You Can Check
The first cohort begins with a live dashboard and a planned physical future. No building, hub or home is open yet. The useful first milestone is knowing where your application stands, what your membership permits and how to recognize a clear task and a reviewed result.
That gives the next conversation something concrete to refer to. Each person can see the next required step, the terms of available work and the evidence behind a contribution record.
