About Built By DAO
Built By DAO is a decentralized autonomous organization democratizing housing ownership. Our core innovation: 10% of every rent payment converts to equity credits, giving renters a real path to ownership. We are building a future where your rent builds something — for you.
Why This Role Matters
The housing crisis hits young people hardest. College students graduate into a market where homeownership feels impossible. Built By DAO offers a different model, and ambassadors are the ones who bring that message to the people who need it most.
You will not just be handing out flyers. You will be starting real conversations about financial futures, equity building, and what it means to own where you live. This is grassroots community building at its most impactful.

Hear from Our Ambassadors
“Being a BBD ambassador gave me real marketing experience that I could not get in a classroom. Plus, I got to help my classmates think about housing in a totally new way.”
“The flexible hours were perfect around my class schedule. I hosted two workshops last semester and both had standing-room-only turnout. Students genuinely care about this.”
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be a specific major to apply?
No. We welcome students from every major and academic background. What matters is your interest in housing, community, and your ability to connect with other students.
How many hours per week is expected?
The role is 10-20 hours per week, flexible around your class schedule. Most ambassadors work 12-15 hours. You set your own hours with guidance from our team.
Can I be an ambassador if my school is in a small town?
Yes. We have ambassadors at schools of all sizes and locations. Smaller schools often mean less competition for attention, which can be an advantage.
Is this a remote position?
It is a hybrid role. Most of your work is on campus (events, outreach, conversations), but content creation, reporting, and team communication happen remotely.
Can international students apply?
Yes, provided you have work authorization (e.g., CPT or OPT) in the United States. We cannot sponsor visas at this time.
What happens during summer and winter breaks?
You can continue working remotely on social media and content during breaks at reduced hours, or you can pause and resume when school starts again. Your choice.
Will this look good on my resume?
Absolutely. You will gain experience in community management, event planning, social media marketing, content creation, and sales. These are skills employers actively seek.
Is there room for growth?
Yes. Top ambassadors have been promoted to regional lead roles and offered internships with the BBD team. We invest in people who demonstrate initiative.
Diversity & Inclusion
Built By DAO is an equal opportunity organization. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all team members. We encourage applications from students of all backgrounds, races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, and socioeconomic statuses. Our mission is to democratize housing, and that starts with the people who represent us.
